If you are a mac users and a fan of widgets may I recommend TheBom Weather Widget created by my very clever partner Mr Frank. TheBom pulls its data from the Bureau of Meterology to give you the current weather and weekly forecasts for all Australian capital cities.

If you have recently joined RingSurf and you are feeling a little confused as to how it works here are the steps. If you have already attempted to join the web ring but have noticed that it is not working you may also need the steps below.

1. After you have logged into RingSurf, view your Ring Profile page. Scroll down until you see the window with the title - 'Ring HTML code: Below is the code that you enter on your site to activate the ring'. Copy all the HTML within that window.

2. Log into Blogger (if that is who you are with) go to Layout then Page Elements. Choose Add a Page Element and from there choose HTML/JavaScript. Click the add to Blog button. For title type Flashback Friday Web Ring. Then paste the html code into the window under the title. Then save.

All done!

Unfortunately I only know the steps to take if you are using a blogger account. I'm hoping the steps my be very similar with other blog applications.

everything i thought it would be

Well, what can I say. Stitch night at Mikes was as good as I had anticipated. Cupcakes, crafty ladies, cups of tea and sewing soundtracks. Pip you are fabulous! and your bathroom is super cool.

Lucky door prizes, pear pin cushions, cupcake kits! What more could you want on a Sunday night. I met the lovely Mix Tape zine creators, the super famous blogger Aunty Cookie, blogger and avid knitter Kylie, the talented Miss Lovely Buttons and I had a great chat with Brooke.

Now to find some spare time to finish my stitchin!

neat night at mikes

I'm so excited about attending stitch night tonight at meet me at mikes! I've heard so many great reviews from past stitch nights and now I get to share the mikes experience! I'm also excited about meeting some great Melbourne bloggers who will be there. I will post an update tomorrow with all the nights highlights.

Flashback Fridays has been growing with great success! Thank you for all my 'great pins' comments and no my photo did not discourage my friend from taking up the tap dancing classes : ) I had an idea this morning about our Flashback Friday group and I would like to hear your feedback on the idea.

How about each Flashback Friday we have a theme? Lets say everyone can leave a theme suggestion comment and then on Thursdays a theme will be announced. Possible themes umbrellas, cousins, ice-cream, fancy dress! If you don't have a pre 1985 photo with the announced theme you can still certainly post a pre 1985 photo of your choose.

Today I am looking into creating a web ring that can store all our Flashback Fridays contributors web address. This will make it much easier to view everyones photos! I will keep you posted if I can successfully set one up.

When a friend joined an adult tap dancing class last year I had to give her the photographic evidence that I did tap dancing dressed like a Licorice Allsort. I can't understand why she would never had believed me : )

When the photo was taken I was on my way to the Townsville Civic Theatre for my yearly Christmas dancing spectacular, the year before I was a seaweed.

Although it was cold enough today to keep any sane person indoors, I ventured out to my local op shop and found some little gems! Two ceramic cats $5 for the pair and lots of Golden Homes magazines (circa 1971) $1.50 for 10 issues.

About a month ago I did a swap with Belinda from tutti fruiti. Belinda asked me if I had a preferred colour combination for one of her handmade cushions and I choose orange and brown. I have always had a quirky love of the colour orange, in small doses of course. I love my orange and brown cushion and I think Belinda has done a beautiful job!
