crocheted or knitted?

I'm relatively new to both camps, so I'm left to intrigue if the lampshades found at Seven Seeds cafe have been crocheted or knitted? Either way, I imagine big needles or hooks were involved!

brooke loves flowers

Nothing could suit Brooke's personality more than Victoria's new 'say it with flowers' necklace. Brooke sent me this photo on the weekend, her necklace filled with flowers that the children she looks after at childcare picked just for her. Too sweet!!

super amazing misako mimoko

I always swoon over Misako Mimoko's colourful textile creations and now I'm left completely smitten by her amazing poster design skills. If only I lived in Barcelona, I would sign up for her upcoming softies workshop in a heartbeat!

homemade recycled goodness

Dottie Angel
has tempted me to consider her challenge in the new year, although fearing I may fail I do think it's a great 2010 goal I should put on the top of my list!

The above beautiful images are from Dottie' Angel Etsy store, lots of recycled homemade goodness there, with a shop update expected this Friday.

I'm in love with all the goodies at Castle and Things. I've particularly got my eye on some of those bed linens!

the big knit

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the bridge that I walk across on my bunny-spotting walk to work is going to be slowly transformed into a colourful, giant knitted installation during the Big West Festival starting in mid November.

I hope to take lots of photos during the transformation to share its daily progress. You can also keep track of the process by following The Big Knit blog.

postcards from sunday

My Sunday (and week) has been filled with entertaining family visiting from interstate. Visits to the Camberwell Market, Chapel Street Bazaar and the Auction Rooms cafe have filled our Sunday and luckily we have had some fantastic warm weather to share our Melbourne beauty!

teddy, is that you?!

I took a double take when looking through the paper last week, I spotted my childhood teddy!

In an article 'can't live without' Jason Dundas writes he inherited Brown Ted from his sisters. Now his Brown Ted just hangs out in his room, kinda like mine.
