teddy, is that you?!

I took a double take when looking through the paper last week, I spotted my childhood teddy!

In an article 'can't live without' Jason Dundas writes he inherited Brown Ted from his sisters. Now his Brown Ted just hangs out in his room, kinda like mine.

my place and yours

I've been meaning to join along with Pip's new meme, My Place & Yours for sometime now. This afternoon I found some time to take some photos and although a little late here it is.

On my shelf:: suggested by the sweet and super clever Pip here is the top of my dinning cabinet on which I shelve my little collection of wine labels with the bottles still attached. Space permits how far this collection gets.

Bedside:: suggested by the super talented word-smith Potty Mouth Mama, my bedside table keeps a pile a unread, half-read magazines ready for me to browse to help unwind from the day.

Can't wait to hear Ninon's suggestion for next week! Thank you for hosting Pip!!

allo allo

Allo, Allo! I'm sorry I haven't been around much but my house is happy, looking all spring cleaned, declutterred and renewed! Why is it we tend to purge and renew in Spring time? I guess it's a natural instinct after months of hiding under layers of clothing and winter blankets.

When I first moved to Melbourne from North Queensland, I had a lot of people ask me 'don't you just love the change of seasons'? Which I must admit I didn't, not when I came from a place that was pretty much Summer all year round. But now after living in Melbourne close to twelve years I couldn't imagine my life without them.

Hope to blogging more regularly soon!

I was very lucky to receive some free post cards from Jacqui last week arriving all the way from Japan. Thank you Jacqui!

The card above is an advertising card for you'll never guess... yup, Ikea. Can you see the connection... cute artwork of a dog... equates to furniture and shelving! Kawaii!!

world sweet world

Last week the postie arrived with my online order of the World Sweet World magazine. Created in New Zealand, it is a beautiful magazine from the front cover to the written content, printed with vegetable based inks on sustainably managed forest paper this magazine covers eco topics, diy projects and makers bio's.

One article of interest was the Wellington based group known as Frocks on Bikes. 'Not only are they celebrating biking beautifully, they're also cycling for a cause'!

You can read more about World Sweet World via their online blog.

I'm in love with these two spaces as they sum up the perfect picture of my ideal home, light filled and bright with hints of colour splashings.

The top image was sourced from Apartment Therapy via their post on Elements of Vintage Schoolhouse Style, while the second image is the beautiful lounge room of Ungtblod.

Ahhh, I can always dream...

ceramic buttons

I received some sweet ceramic buttons from ceramic artist Yuko as thank you for the photo I had sent for her business card.

They are too good to keep to myself so I just had to share some photos of her little treasures with you!
