Here is my late Flashback Friday photo - Hippie Love. Mum and I sharing a cuddle.

I feel I may have exhausted everyone's photo albums by now! Perhaps it might be time wind up Flashback Friday... if anybody would like to offer to keep the Flashback Friday flame alive, I would be happy to do a hand over.

flashback friday - travel bug

The 70's always remind me of no seat belts, no bike helmets and no shoes. Hence the photo on Pop's postal bike with all our 70's free spirit. The second photo is from our road trip to Perth, hard to see but I'm standing in the front seat. I always remember a childhood memory of sitting in the combie van with some long haired mellow people outside the Sydney Opera House and we were all singing to Knocking on Heavens Door on the radio. It was all very hippy and mung bean like.

I would love to see if Dees from Daisy in lala Land would like to suggest a theme for next week! I'm off to have a look at everyone else's travel bug shots!!

status report

My first ever crazy log cabin cushion is coming along. My stitching is lets say 'not straight' but I'm loving the 'i wasn't made in a factory' look and feel. My goal is to have it completed by the end of the week. I've caught the log cabin fever and I have a couple in mind for xmas presents and upcoming new baby arrival presents.

I have my Mum coming to visit for a week : )

It's great having family and friends coming to stay because my house gets the biggest clean it's had in lets say 'a long time'.

my dream bike

I have discovered a website with a gallery of my favourite bikes!

flashback friday - all in the family

I couldn't find a noice backyard shot in front of the 'best' shrub but I found a family shot in front of the Sydney Opera House!

The last few days have been spent running around doing alot of errands, can you believe I don't even drive. So my whole business is done via public transport. Which if you have heard of the state of Melbourne's public transport lately it is sometimes not fun and I can spend a long time between platforms waiting. I often spend the time reading a book but sometimes I daydream about setting up a mini assembly line in my bag so I can somehow make kits while I'm waiting. I also sometimes wish I could come out of the craft closet and whip out my embroidery hoop and stitch away!

I remembered a while ago that I would asked AJ to suggest a theme for flashback friday, I know it's been sometime but AJ would you like to suggest our theme for next week?

Happy flashback friday!

errands

While running around the city today I spotted Frankie's afternoon tea recipe book for sale in Magnation. Such cute styling and I spotted a recipe by Pip. I also came across some cute vintage inspired fabric in Lincraft for only $4.99 per metre.

theme for friday

The theme for this Friday is "All In The Family", which is, a shot of your whole family, whether that be a Pixie Foto from the 1970's Australian shopping centre, a noice backyard shot in front of the 'best' shrub, or one where even Grandma and Grandpa and the nearest available cousins are roped into the task - Hyena In Petticoats wants to see our old family photos!

time out

It's Miss Buttons lucky week in print! Thank you Claudine for sending me a scanned peak of the editorial. Miss Buttons is appearing in this weeks issue of Time Out Sydney.

flashback friday - my stylish mum

This is my Mum pre-me and my stylish Mum and Dad on their engagement day. Not only is my Mum super stylish, she is also super talented and creative. She always kept my creativity alive and encouraged all my artistic endeavours. As a single Mum she raised my brother and I with lots of the good stuff that make all my childhood memories full of fun.

For next week's theme I would like to ask hyena-in-petticoats for her suggestion. Thank you Betty for this weeks theme!
