flashback friday - travel bug

The 70's always remind me of no seat belts, no bike helmets and no shoes. Hence the photo on Pop's postal bike with all our 70's free spirit. The second photo is from our road trip to Perth, hard to see but I'm standing in the front seat. I always remember a childhood memory of sitting in the combie van with some long haired mellow people outside the Sydney Opera House and we were all singing to Knocking on Heavens Door on the radio. It was all very hippy and mung bean like.

I would love to see if Dees from Daisy in lala Land would like to suggest a theme for next week! I'm off to have a look at everyone else's travel bug shots!!

That is true about our childhoods, no seatbelts or helmets and now I cringe if my kids aren't in the proper booster seat! I love the pic on the bike, in motion.

I lOVE that bike! The photo is so full of movement as well, it's the sort of photo that would make you smile every time you look at it!

Great photos. Bad is the first thing I saw.
No helmet, no shoes, three on the bike.
How did you ever survive......

Such an awesome wind-in-my-hair sort of shot! Allison's right - your photos are the best! Full of summer and crickets and mozzies and combies and all that is truly wonderful about childhood. xx
