the goods

The good room, the good scissors, the good dinner set, the good linen. The goods seemed to be a part of growing up in the past... do you still refer to something in your household as the 'good ....', if you do can you share with us what it is? Or maybe you have a story of when you were growing up and your family had a 'good ....' and you thought to yourself when I grow up I will use the good things every day!

haha it's so true !! My mum had a good lounge room just like in Kath & Kim. The good lounge room was her lounge room and us kids had to use the other "TV Room".

I'm good enough for the good things every day, Ms Angela. I wear my good shoes to the supermarket, I mix gravox in my good tea-cups and if there's a good room in our house, nobody told me..!

I actually don't have any goods anymore. Moved to a house with no good room, sold the good silverware, packed up the good china because it doesn't go in the dishwasher & returned the good crystal to myer in exchange for a sewing machine. We do however, have a pool room. All the "best" artwork & sports awards get sent "straight to the pool room". I love it.
