wool and the gang

Total credits go to Feeling Fuzzy's blog for introducing me to Wool and The Gang. Their website has some great video tutorials and the online shop stocks some, Crazy Sexy Wool, some Sugar Baby Alpaca and some Shiny Happy Cotton.

And do pop up over to Emma's blog for some beautiful images, felt kits and good doses of inspiration.

team with a theme

My partner Franjo and I went to a wedding on the weekend. We choose a present from the gift registry at Myer and paid to have the present gift wrapped. We were asked to come back in ten minutes to collect the wrapped gift, when we returned it was a surprise to find that the wrapping suited our wedding attire quite noicely!

vintage illustration

Alphabet prints above by Paul Thurlby

I've become an instant fan of UK Illustrator, Paul Thurlby. His alphabet prints are very reminiscent of vintage character illustrations which I love. I'm always intrigued as to how illustrators can recreate that look so well.

Illustration above by Fiona Hewitt

Another admired Illustrator, Fiona Hewitt has not only mastered Illustrator so well but her recreations of vintage Asian packaging design are truly amazing!

big issues with big knitting

Astonishingly, there seems to be some people out there with big issues about knitting to the point they went out to vandalise and destroy the knitted bridge in the middle of last night. It must of been a heart breaking sight this morning for all those involved in such a large project, after speaking to one of the organisers today I was told it would of been a team of people who went about sabotaging it last night. I mean, why?!!

I would very much like a copy of Milk magazine and one of those cute knitted house pillows! Can anyone recommend where I could purchase Milk online, preferably with Paypal payment options? Merci xx

bonjour monsieur

Little Monsieur is my third attempt at amigurumi, I've used Jess's panda pattern as a base and added some French chic for Monsieur's outfit. Now I must make a Mademoiselle!
