vintage

Did you know there is a wealth of information and photos on Vintage Ceramics and Enamel found over here! They're the kind of treasures I keep my eye open for in op shops but alas I've never found them. Have you?!

P.S. (The film is in the photo lab, ready to be picked up tomorrow afternoon)!

Eek. Think I might have spied a brown version of the coffee pot recently. Now, if I could just remember where.

You know that white bowl in the picture, with the mushrooms? I found that exact finel bowl in the oppy the other day. I nearly passed out with joy. Mind you I usually pass out with joy, even if I just find an old flowery blouse or some smelly fabric!

If I saw that blue teapot I would push people over to get it. But alas I have yet to see one.

Ooh yeah. I've got a red coffee percolater from the op shop and a taller yellow coffee pot that I use for flowers. Love them!

Yeh, well I now have a very highly prized planter! I picked up the red coffee pot last month in an oppy, and it was just begging for a bit of dirt and a succulant. (it actually had a "good for pot plant-$2" label on it)
I love old enamel...I cook with it all the time :-)

I have some of these things. I do. Because I'm a pain in the butt like that. Come over and I'll serve you dinner in them soon.

I have a couple of LOTUS Cathrinhom pots and a few Finel pots (with fish on them) and some Arabia jam pots and a few other bits and pieces. Lovely lovely lovely they are.

Tina : I would kill for a mushroom bowl. Had you passed out I would have picked it up and ran off with it.

xx

I'm obsessed with collecting vintage ceramics -- and now I know there's much more I need to be searching for! I love it.

Nope. If I spotted ANY of these I wouldn't go all passing out. Instead I'd revert to high school netball techniques when playing against the nasty team. It involved a lot of elbow as I recall.

I NEVER find such lovelies. Belinda from Blink has the heart bowl, she takes it to trade fairs. Can't wait to see the film!!
