this is... my favourite travel memory

My most favoured and most travelled destination is beautiful Byron Bay. I am fortunate enough to have some dear and life changing friends living in Bryon so it's a little coastal town I always find on the top of my travel list.

I was given the opportunity not too many years ago to live and work in Byron Bay at the Byron Central Apartments for a small time. It was just a quick barefoot stroll to the main beach. It was a great time but unfortunately the lack of a decent fabric store lead me back to Melbourne...

Thank you Hila for your suggested trip down memory travelling lane!

Oh yes, I agree. I love the hinterland as well. Just stunning. And what an awesome art and craft community!

I have certainly earmarked Byron Bay in my top three must go to destinations in Australia in the next year or two! Very inspired now!

Great place Byron Bay. A group of friends and I used to go there every year from about 1989 until about 1997. Haven't been there since but definitely should

Beautiful Byron... I went there about 25 years ago and wanted to stay. Of course I wish I had bought a place there now! It will just have to be a nice place to visit.

What a great place to live and work, too bad about the fabric stores. You sure it wasn't the weather that lured you back to Melbourne??

So beautiful. I've never been to Byron, and would love to go. You've inspired me to play along with "this is..." this week too.

We went there for day trip often while we lived on the Gold Coast. Awesome spot and fantastic markets.

Yes Byron is a favourite isn't it? I now live a couple of hours south of Byron, so I understand the longing for decent fabric... thank-god for the internet!
