this is... my best op shop find

I am an avid op shopper. I have been since I was a young adolescent. I love it! I've tried to cut back this year as there is only so much my house can store but I just can't help myself. If I see an op shop my body just kicks into auto pilot and before you know it I'm browsing the knick knack shelf.

There have been so many best op shop finds through out the years it's hard to pick just one for today's theme. I have decided my best find in the last couple of years has been my little ceramic cats. I nearly walked straight pass them, unnoticed. The reason why they are a winner is that I had only just decided the day before that I wanted to have some cute ceramic retro cats. They were $5 for the pair.

Thank you Lino Forest for your theme! For next I would love to ask Teacups on treetops.

I'm sorry, I cheated! I love those cats. But I love it even more that you conjured up the idea of cats, and the opshop gods delivered so soon.
Thanks for the opportunity (Joke get it) to choose this is.....

These are a great find, Angela! Isn't it funny how often you decide that you 'need' something and it turns up the next day in an op shop? This is always happening to me! I think your Donna Hay mags were a good find too - and that painting you showed me, although strictly not an op shop find. Don't cut back - don't ever!

I have those very same cats! When I was a kid we had a siamese cat and Mum was often given cat related presents. That pair is all that remains, unfortunately.
Such a great find!

They are great Angela.

I've been meaning to let you know that you'd better take me off the This Is list as I don't seem to be participating on a regular basis at the moment.

These are very special! Thanks for choosing me for next week's theme too. I've had a good, hard think about it and have come up with "This is... my most treasured childhood possession". Hope everyone enjoys it :)

The cats are wonderful. We had 2 siamese cats when we were kids.

Op Shops are just like the Field of Dreams. I love hearing stories of how they deliver.

They are so sweet, and you're right, all the more special that you wanted some and found them that day, that is so rare.

Op Shops are mystical like that... answering your recent wishes. I've had experiences like that too. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, but eventually they always cough up exactly what you've been looking for... only sometimes it's a little different, but always better!

Your cats are so classic! They're brilliant!
