giving

Chapter two of 'A practical guide to the fulfilment of your dreams' discusses The Law of Giving. It reads...

The universe operates through dynamic exchange... giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.

Case in point... (you may need a cup of tea for this long post)

When I was thinking up how to make a lovely sausage dog pencil case for Brooke I remembered her love of gingham and I thought of making a button with brown gingham for her pencil case. After a frustrated unsuccessful search for brown gingham I thought of an alternative and came up with a sausage dog button. Problem solved.

Then last week when I was attending Brown Owls, Kirsty the most giving person I know gave me a gift. Inside was a vintage apron and some brown gingham!

The next day Made Cafe was starting to create their new window display. Margie mentioned to me that she needed a small picnic rug for the display. I offered to lend her my new brown gingham which worked beautifully in the display.

On my way to Made Cafe this morning I dropped into a friends house to give her little girl a pink horse I found at the local op shop, I know how much she loves horses and I couldn't resist! To my delight when I arrived at the cafe Margie gave me a present.

And to my amazement when I went to pay for my coffee someone had already paid it for me!!

It's true 'what goes around comes around'... I'm going to have something very special to give to Kirsty next time I see her!

This post made me smile! Happy crafty stuff. One day I want to break free of the usual evening dinner-bath-bedtime kid-centric madness and come to Brown Owls. I would love to meet all my fellow gorgeous Melbourne bloggers.

I get the giving-ness, but my nosey eye wants to know if you did the add-ons on the pics with a Bamboo? or how? Please educate me.

Oooh, I totally agree with this. And I think the blogging/craft community is a great example of it constantly in action. In fact, on the very day that I put up my first blog giveaway, I also got an email saying that I had actually won my very first blog giveaway as well. Such a lovely synchronicity to it all. Thank-you for such a happy morning read :)
