This is...
Me taking a picture of myself in the mirror with my favourite accessory.
I found the small signet ring I'm wearing in the back of a station wagon in 1976. Back then it could only fit on my middle finger then as the years went on it made it's way to it's permanent home, my little finger. Through out the years it has been lost and then found, bent and battered, neglected and then re-loved, used in clairvoyant readings, re-silvered, etched with the letter A and fitted with a new ruby twice. It's probable worth is $2.00 on ebay but it has a story and is my favourite accessory : )
Thank you Jhoanna for another great theme!! I'm going to ask Pip from Mikes for next week's theme...
Feel free to join in the fun at anytime!

It sure does have a story! A very well loved accessory indeed:)
Nice to see you Angela x
I love that ring. It brings back nostalgic memories from my childhood.
Love the story of something so precious Angela - and great pic too.
Oooh jewellery with history that is my favourite kind.
I think signet rings look best on pinkies! It's kinda funny, my fav accessory is a ring with a story too. Stories always make things so much more precious don't they :)
A great story!
I hope you don't mind, but I've kind of gatecrashed your This is.. meme. I've been lurking for weeks and have really enjoyed seeing what everyone comes up with each week.
Funnily enough.. my favourite was a ring too!
I like the ring. Very pretty and even better with a history.
Lovely that your favourite accessory has been with you from 1976. Cool photo too.
Oh, SNAP!
Gotta love those canons.
And my rings mean the world to me, though I'm sure they're monetary worth is pretty much zilch.
ooh how do I get in on the "this is..." game? seems like good fun!
great pic - cute ring!! love that its been lost then found, bent but still loved...
Love the ring. I always wanted one when I was a girl, but never got one. Perhaps I should go Ebay shopping!!
Rings seem to hold so much significance, much more than earrings for example. Clever little things aren't they?
Very cute ring!

I always wanted a signet ring when I was little(r), I thought that it was the most fabulously grown up thing ever, in grade three (grade six girls had signet rings and friendship bands and popped gum bubbles in our faces at the bus stop).
Great ring, but even better story :)
I think your ring is super-cute, just like YOU!
And, I am so thrilled to be able to CHOOOOOOSE next weeks THIS IS! Go check my bloggy for the details! xx Pip
