today i bought a goat

Not long ago I reminded Frank about my Handmade Christmas pledge and I asked him would he prefer a patchwork vest or a patchwork ipod cover? He never really answered that question... I somehow sensed as a woman does that he was perhaps not so keen on either. So this morning I bought him a goat for Christmas. I know it takes a little creative thinking to see a correlation between something handmade and the goat but buying the goat goes towards projects that are improving the lives of those in some of the world's poorest communities. Ironically, Michi Girl posted about Oxfam Unwrapped today too. If I had researched further I would have discovered you can give the gift of sewing training!

A goats a great idea, btw!

This year we have decided to buy our own pressies and pretend to be surprised on Chrissy morning! I had heaps of fun roaming the Rose St Artists market last Saturday... such great stuff!

Well I think you should make Frank the vest as well, as a special surprise! I can see him in it.

Did you tell him you would make him the vest pictured? And he still wasn't jumpin? I like the goat idea.
