my coincidence story

I love a good coincidence story, I'm pretty sure everyone has one. Whenever I remember I always ask people what coincidences they have had... some stories are absolutely amazing!! I would LOVE to hear your coincidence story! If you have one to share please leave a comment and post your coincidence story onto your blog, I will pop over and have a read. Here is my story...

I once bought a vintage suitcase about 12 years ago from an Op Shop. At the time I was living in a share house with three friends and their Mum. When I showed the Mum my new vintage suitcase she noticed straight away the name and address written inside and couldn't believe that the suitcase belonged to her best friend from her school years.

I would also like to tell you about a coincidence story I heard recently. A man bought a knitted wool jumper from an Op Shop. He wore his new jumper over to his Grandparents. The Grandmother instantly recognized that he was wearing the jumper she made for his Grandfather that they recently donated to an Op Shop. True Story!!

I LOVE coincidences.
I have had many, but could only think of these. Not as good as the suitcase story though!

what great stories. did the mum get back in contact with the old friend? ...then it would be like fate was asking them to get in contact.

I bought a house in Melbourne in Murray Rd and my father's first house was Murray St in Sydney. He came to me in a dream 3 days after I bought the house and told me this in the dream. I had not seen the house for over 20 years.

OK - i have a suitcase story too! I bought a child's suitcase in an op-shop in KEW. It had an American flag painted on the front and was very battered with a little girls name inside. I kept it for a few years and used to tote around our kids drawing things when we'd go out to cafes. Then, we decided to do a window at Mikes with a pile of suitcases - at the top of the pile, we put the American Flag suitcase. A few weeks later, a woman came in to the shop, heavily pregnant - and white as a ghost. She asked to look at the case - and I immediately said 'It's yours, isn't it?!' and she said 'I wrote my name in it' and I said 'what's your name?' and of course - it was the name written inside the case! She hadn't seen it for about 20 years! So of course I gave it to her! It was just an amazing thing!

I love coincidences too. I have been in draft mode on a very similar post for a while now. I have just pressed publish. It isn't quite a 'suitcase' level coincidence, but it does show what a small world it is in which we all live. (Particularly in blogging and craft!)

***Once I have access to my work computer I will activate links to every-ones sites. My home computer isn't quite up to it.

Cheers!

I have a great one...met a mum @ kinder - we clicked....she was an artist too so lots of like minded talk...one day her mother comes in with her (she is on holiday from Brisbane), we chat and chat and chat and discover that they lived in the same suburb as where my family live. i say their name and they are amazed and say yes we know them - I say "no, its a very common name in Brisbane" and they start reeling off all my cousins names, my aunty, uncle and grandmother!!! it turns out that my friends brother is my cousins best friend, she partied for years with one of my other cousins, her mother was even at my grandmothers funeral. Then last year my aunty passed away and my friends mother never made it to the funeral as she was not well. A week later she visited her sister (miles away) and sees the church booklet sitting on her table. She asks how she knows my aunty and finds out that they lived in the same street when they were kids...WEIRD! SPOOKY!

These stories are FANTASTIC!!!! I love the intricate and beautiful weavings of the universe. I believe there is a lot more to coincidences than simply coincidence! I have a couple of stories, too, which I will now post on my blog.

The interconnectedness of things is completely amazing. I've posted my coincidence story too, inspired by all these other fab ones.
